Constructible Design Co. was created to bridge the gap between construction and design. We hope to assist companies with streamlining this connection, implement better building practices, and influence smarter material usage.

Our owner, Ashton Licht, has worked in the industry for over 15 years in multiple roles that have all aimed to do exactly this – in residential and commercial, under design and construction, with individual homeowners and fortune 500 companies. After seeing the need in nearly every design firm and hearing of difficulties from many general contractors, he decided to apply his knowledge on a larger scale. Reaching multiple industry leaders as well as connecting with average home owners, we hope to simplify the building process and make it less stressful and seamless. A growing need in a world where construction has become increasingly complicated.

Constructible Design Co. started with a focused goal of providing proper plan reviews to homeowners. It is the largest aspect of our business.

Drafting service has become a commonly misused title. Frequently, these services provide a visualization of a project but lack large portions of the information required to ever build it. This lack of information causes assumptions made by Contractors that can lead to an inferior product, or puts the project on hold when the Contractor requires direction to proceed. This mid-project clarification often leads to addition cost not originally budgeted. Even if a licensed Architect/Engineer has been hired, there are many items that often get missed because they are deemed Means & Methods or left to a Contractors interpretation/discretion. Constructible Design Co. provides a review that outlines these grey areas, missing information, and assumptions. We provide a full plan set redline, suggested fixes, detail examples, product references, and more.

Our consulting services provide similar standards but on a typically larger scale. We assist with not only plan review but in depth looks at processes and procedures to keep standards for all subsequent projects. We aim to find cost savings from time rather than value engineering out tens of thousands of dollars, that inherently degrade the design as its mostly pulled from scope of work. Consistency lead to predictability. Additionally, we review organizations from an operational view, starting macro and narrowing into micro. Often, the right tools and people are available, but not utilized or communicated with appropriately. We help connect those dots and create a documented structure for an organization to grow with.
